Just quoying my post (lame,I know ) ),cause this left back Philipp Max was sold for just 7 million to PSV Eindhoven, where he has a very low salary compared to those at Crystal Palace.

Surely agents have been squirming around these past months and Palace chairman and board were informed that he was a ppssible signing at that amount.

I have no idea how talended Mitchell is as left back (maybe he's another wan Bissaka, maybe not, can't say cause I didn't see him).

But yes, PVA has been very good, but he also had some offers. I WOULD have sold a 30 year old PVA for 6-10 million and gotten Philipp Max instead, 26 years old and actually better both offensively and defensively than PVA (German quality, very fit and tough).

Why none of the other 19 PL teams went for hom? There was talk of Liverpool last year (and Barcelona for that matter), but maybe hr isn't good enough quality for them. That still doesn't mean he wouldn't have been great for Palace. Would have had a solid left back to push for Top 6 in the next 5-6 years.
