Personally I would not have gone near him since downing tools at Bournemouth. More importantly (and concerning) is that it perhaps shows our transfer policy again this window. Ferguson - out of contract There are now 3 things certain in life :- Death I know which of the three is most doom-laden!

There have been lots of players who were out of contract, but didnt down tools. I remember Aaron Ramsey having a good season at Arsenal before going to Juventus. He could have easily stopped playing. Look at Pedro at weekend, he looked he was playing fully and ended up getting injured. He could have played not trying to get injured. Would Fraser playing fully given Bournemouth an extra point that would have ensured their survival ? I reckon he will hold out until the end of the window, and if no one else comes in, he will come to us. I think that's probably right. As a free, he can hold out until the best offer comes in

Of all the players we’ve been linked with this window Fraser would be the most likely to go straight into a first team selected by Hodgson.

Is it not the case that each window recently, Palace have looked to add a good free transfer player and that free transfer player has often been a first 16 player. If each year Palace can add a first 16 player for free then the club are literally savings millions every time. Meyer I wouldn’t describe this sort of policy bad at all. Add Ayew and McCarthy in to that mix because they cost around 5m between the pair. It’s common sense to target players who can aid the squad without breaking the bank. Fraser would be a top signing for us if we did get him...IMO.

I can’t see Fraser wanting to be at Fulham it’s even less glamorous than palace plus the Kahn family were bit last time they got promoted they won’t want to get bit again

He wants £100k a week allegedly. He’s in no rush can afford to sit back and wait until somebody is prepared to pay what he wants. I very much doubt he cares who it is.

The problem he could have is, if he waits too long for the big money offer and that never comes, he could end up with no club at all
