That spinner's action is questionable to say the least.

That was a good match and I'm not really into all that slogging of 20/20. Give me five days and a few crates of beer and I'm happy.

I do think we need to consider using the pink ball in bad light though. I know all about the issues with switching balls mid-game, but they need to find a solution or the test match will become a thing of the past. What are your thoughts?

The field of play is not actually covered, in particular the bowlers run-ups so that has to be corrected it would be expensive. Floodlighting for test matches must be of a higher standard like Old Trafford. The pink ball sounds ideal, bowlers like Anderson and Broad are against it saying it acts differently not sure if that's a great argument. A lot of overs were lost in perfectly adequate light and the light readings must be increased by a couple of notches. I don't think cricket can be played in the wet, my thoughts are for bad light only.

Very random Went to Shere today and found myself at the bar of the local next to Ian Ward. He was with a lady who looked like she was about 22. Couldn’t work out if daughter or love interest

The bad light stoppages in the pakistan tests were ridiculous. Especially considering the only audience is now on TV. I think they could come up with a colour ball and lighting sytem that would stop that.

BBC now. Could win the series against the ultimate rivals - the Aussies. 158 target.

When we’ve lost time due to bad weather, to me, the obvious thing is to start at 9am rather than 11am to make up lost overs. I’m sure the players are fit enough to last 4 sessions in a day if necessary.
