I have just recalled a comic from my childhood. I think they are termed Graphic Novels, in todays lingo. 2000AD. They had many regular characters in their weekly issues. The robots, Ro-Jaws and Hammerstein They also had a character killer robot called Dr.Feelgood. No doubt I will trawl some more from Mr Apollo

My dad was driving out of his local golf club 30 years ago, when he noticed a chap struggling with a punctured tyre on his car. My dad offered and gave assistance, and during a short conversation the chap said he was Ray Davies from The Kinks. My dad had no clue who the band were. I saw The Kinks at GLastonbury not long afterwards.
