Do you want to be 'told' what to and how to act or do you want to be advised and make your own judgement on this advice.
It seems some want telling so they have someone to blame, when no one living on this planet has ever seen this scenario.
How can you make a plan.
All countries doing different things in different ways.
Who knows which is the best way.
Maybe some would prefer to be totally kept in the dark and make there own mind up on information they havent been given in the first place.
Personally I am worried for me and mine and am following the advice given.
You can make your own plan,no one is stopping you.

Of course, you can make your own decisions and take precautions but there is a limit to what you can do. Society and public services are controlled by the government. Haven't you noticed yet that OUR government sits on its ar$e whilst others around the world react? Let's face it ... we're behind the pace and will be playing catch up when they get back to their offices.

Every other country doing the correct thing then?
No one knows the best way to deal with it.
ATM it's all guess work and live trialling
One strategy might work.
They may all fail.
if it works somewhere then going forward during the next 1 in a 100 year pandemic that method will be used globally.
My main point is would you prefer being told or advised.

Other countries have taken action to protect their citizens. Look at the measures introduced over the weekend. Our officials haven't even turned up for work. My main point is just that and it's plain for all to see. Let's see what happens when they do eventually roll up!

It's looking like the big shut down is coming this weekend for UK - why the delay? part money but they have admitted to wanting 'herd immunity' - I'm no immunologist but the only way you build the right resistance is to have overcome the actual virus or a similar one, apparently it's the same science behind people rejecting organs or skin grafts - twins and family members share actual blood or the same germs so they will have developed immunity to accept or fight off the same stuff, so it's moot how irresponsible the 'herd immunity' management strategy is, some scientists say its totally irresponsible, and they have backtracked, it's difficult but I can't believe public swimming pools are open near to me, and supermarkets are not bagging their bakery goods, may sound petty but when you compare the measures taken in other countries it looks way too lax here - you cannot trust those c*nts in No10 and all the spokes people they've selected or paid off.

It should be about money as well.
If economies tank it will be like world war Z
A free for all.
There is a balancing act and I wouldn't like to make these calls.
I am happy to take the advice i am being given.
There are some clever people looking at the science who actually know about how viruses act.
Not 200 odd mathematicians who done a few sums.
Not to say they arnt clever but in science the majority are not always correct.

very good point re the economy - and these decisions are all about the lesser of various evils so it's silly to accuse the govt of callousness, but some reputable medical experts/authorities are doing that, as far as long term economic damage best way to avoid that may be to tax the best off rather than borrow zillions and get the suffering masses to pay indirectly.

I think we should have a Desert Island disc top 5 as we're going to be quarantined. Just to make it fun the 5 songs must be virus related:

1. Fever - Peggy Lee
2. Subterranean Homesick Blues - Bob Dylan
3. Dizzy - Tommy Roe
4. I Can’t Stand Up For Falling Down - Elvis Costello
5. Shaking All Over - Johnny Kidd and the Pirates

My Five
1."Harder to breathe" by Maroon 5
2."The drugs don't work" by The Verve
3.Take my breathe away" by Berlin
4."Don't touch me" by Tammy Wynette
5. "Shake, rattle and (toilet) roll by Bill Haley

Touch my coffee and I will slap you so hard even Google won't be able to find you.

Even if it's a borrow now from the well off and drip feed it back with small tax breaks once we are under control.
I know sod the rich they've got loads and yes they have.
Generally because they have earned it by taking risks.
We all need them now if the case is we need help.
Hopefully after the way some have been ironed out by certain political party supporters and leaders they wont stick there middle finger up and say I'm alright jack ,go do one.

those bankers took lots of risks with other people's money, maybe the tax avoiders can finally cough up (no pun intended), we've had 10 years of austerity with the innocent paying for it rather than the guilty, I'm not one of the 'knockers and sneerers who aren't fit to lick the boots of the risk takers of this country' (to quote John Major) … but too few have too much and too many don't have enough so the cost of this has to be paid equitably.
