I hadn't even mentioned 'facts', I made a statement containing my worldview.

You Maple, are very disingenuous.

We established long ago that you have never studied logic

In fact I was urging you not to make the same mistakes as earlier posters

You do love the word disingenuous don’t you. I find it a bit nasal myself

It is you that doesn't value the modern identity of England. You are trying to reinvent a supposed former world and failing to live in the here and now. You seem to value burying yourself away and not engaging with all the wonderful things available to you.

It is also interesting that you challenge me for wishing to be moral.

Time to get on board daddyoh.

Yeah, the constant threat of terrorism, reality TV, rampant consumerism and debt, being lectured at from the TV by millionaires and 2nd generation immigrants, constant anti-white propaganda in every TV show, movie and advertisement, drag queen story hour, hormone blockers for 7 year olds, feminised emasculated men, awful self obsessed women and ultimately being replaced by the third world within about 30 years.

Where is this England you speak of?

The HF collecting clothing and money for Croydon’s homeless really impressed me. The social life in central London on a cold bright evening. The joy of a nice curry. The fact most young people I know look after each other. The depth of discussion of right and wrong. The rapier sharp wit of South Londoners. A pint of Sambrooks Wandle. There are so many things to enjoy if you have the mind to do so.

As for your comments about the 'modern identity of England'.

The modern identity of England are the English, and that hasn't changed.

Even the Royal family, the most ‘English’ thing ever aren’t even fully English.

At what point do you admit you’re wrong?

Quite so. Other than going to Wales. Oh, and Shropshire. Ah yes, also Suffolk. And Essex. And Lincolnshire. But apart from that, mostly South London.

Stirling was bemoaning how the UK has been dominated by neo liberalism as I recall

Like, Swansea, or maybe Cardiff, and Telford, Ipswich, Billericay, and Boston? All much softer than Croyden/South London, but not indicative of the population in Britain, or even England/Wales.

Just back from lambing in fact. So where exactly is indicative of the population of Britain pray tell and what makes you think that somehow I am disconnected from them?

As you know, only 17% of people live in rural areas.

I want to know what "the modern identity of Britain" is. Not what it's like 'on your doorstep', or where you visit. I asked you to explain it. You seem to have the wherewithal to elaborate.

Going lambing in Croydon don't cut it.

Would genuinely turn up to lambing outside the Whitgift.

Did we? In your fantasy world perhaps and besides that's a non sequitur.

When it comes to logic, from what I see, you're very much a drowning man. I haven't actually seen you make any logical arguments, they are usually empathic arguments....Oh and being pedantic isn't logic darling, it's smelling your own farts.

I do like that word, yes.
In my opinion you need to be more honest Maple.....I was saying this to Castro the other day.

There are serious arguments that could be made from the left.....But only SW19 bothers to make them on Hol....oh and that beany something or other guy.

However, I'd be surprised to discover that it was a driving factor within acts of terrorism in the west.....other than possibly as a means of helping to fund it.

Hitchens attacks those aspects of social liberalism that he believes are destroying what our ancestors built.

We often get the criticism that we want to recreate the fifties.....Well, not really, but in Hitchen's case he has just completely given up on conservatism actually doing any conserving.

I think he's being a little hasty.....there is a lot to happen yet.

Edited by Stirlingsays (26 Feb 2020 10.36pm)

I think he is trying to show that the drugs have an effect on the mental facalties of the individuals involved and makes them more open to warped ideas regarding committing violent acts.

There may be lambing near New Addington later in the year. But this was the rural Wales that will look very different after the post Brexit culling.
