I was lucky enough to have a beer with him a few years ago. One of my best mates I grew up with Tom Davis is an actor and comedian (he's the 6'9" guy from murder in succesville for anyone who knows)

Tom did a charity stand gig at the royal Albert hall with Flanagan and Alan Carr and I went back stage after and had a few beers with them. Mickey Flanagan is exactly as he is on stage. A nice guy who has stayed grounded and not forgot his roots. Alan Carr was a nice bloke to.

I love Micky Flanaghans delivery , watched his dvds loads of times and seen him live. Don’t think he is witty though, when I’ve seen him interviewed on on non scripted tv he has just done little bits of his act. Not sure that he writes his own stuff, but the way he tells his jokes is quality.
Tom Davis , like him, funny.

Yeah he's a good lad Tom. Taken him a long time to break through and he's worked bloody hard but starting to come right now which he deserves.

He's a West ham fan and tries to give it the cockney geezer bit but in reality he was born and bred 5 doors down from me in tadworth in Surrey!!!

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

I read that he applied to go on the dust with Croydon council when he was young, so assumed he was from over that side.

Michael Caine was born in Rotherhithe and got expelled from the school my dad went to in Camberwell .
So unless the wind was really carrying the sound of the bow bells south on the day he was born. Not a Cockney.

Dave and Jean Harper did run the Clifton and in those days it was a great pub. Dave had a millwall scarf above the back bar and it was always fun when we played them as some of his mates would come down, all good fun. They had two sons Dave (Frank was his stage name) and Paul. Frank use to to do the door when he was "resting" along with a big Jamaican bloke called Steve. Always worth watching oppo fans trying to get past these two, especially when they recognised Frank!

Dave Harper played for Millwall, Ipswich and the O's Check this [Link]

Top bloke Dave and the Clifton went into decline for a while after he retired.

I am enjoying being back at Selhurst and having a beer with my mates just like we have done for the past 40 years. Through Thick and thin we stick with our club. Not chairman, players or managers, OUR CLUB!
