If we want him, it is open market negotiations if he has played sub 50%. Had he played more games the price would be contractually fixed. Not sure what difference that makes?

Funny enough.. I thought we would have signed a couple of players today. It's not that crazy...the squad issues we have are well documented. Surely there was no harm in getting some predeals in place for today?

Considering how obvious and public our squad needs are, in particular with regard to competition in the fullback positions.
Surely this should have been a serious process since at least the summer window.
That doesn’t mean something happens today or tomorrow, but soon hopefully. Not a scramble in the last day, which for me would show how limited our presence in the PL might be.
On the other hand ,if a couple of decent players , turn up in the next week or so due to work done throughout the season this far, then the longer future could look quiet bright, as this would be a sign of the club having the means and the will to secure a brighter future.

Truth is, we need players to improve the team and the table. We don't need them to reach 40 pts, which we don't need them all to stay up too.
