I wouldn't play that back four against a decent team they were awful. Mings not good enough TAA had a poor game and Harry Macguire looked liked he'd never seen a football before. Add to that Hudson Odoi was rubbish and I don't get why Declan Rice is in the squad. Still we won 4-0 but only after Rashford came on and livened things up.

This is a superb England squad with the exception of defensive midfield and ability to defend set pieces. I'd be interested to see AWB tried in defensive midfield with his tackling ability, pace & ability with short passing. A hard experiment to make just in an England shirt though!!
If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities. |

Southgate tried to experiment last night it didn't work which I am sure he realised. If we can play the way we did against Montenegro and sort out our defence we have a really good chance of winning it.

Kosovo are also a much better side than Montenegro, so was always going to be a tougher fixture - they rarely lose at home. I think a lot of football fans in England are still fairly blind on how good we are/going to be over the next few years - the quality of the kids coming through is comparable to the 04/06 generation, and we’re cleaning up at youth level. Kane and Sterling are already world class, Rashford isn’t far off it and we’ve then got Abraham, Sancho and Hudson-Odoi competing behind them. Mount, Rice, Tomori, James, Maddison, Chilwell, Trent, Sancho, Hudson-Odoi, Gomez all have the potential to play at the highest level. Below that you’ve got Foden, Brewster and Greenwood who are all already involved in the first teams at club level for City, Liverpool and Utd respectively. We’re second favourites behind France for the Euros with nearly every bookmaker, but most England fans still seem to think we’re s***. Give it another 5 years when everyone I’ve metioned above should be closer to their prime age, and we’re a serious prospect.

Loftus Cheek was called up while a Palace player. Sorry, doesn't count, he was still a Chelsea owned player. Original Q? stands.

I don't disagree I just think the team selection was wrong against Kosovo and the weakest area is the defence. Don't get me wrong I applaud Southgate for experimenting I just hope he realised that one didn't work too good even though we won. If we can sort out our defence we have a really good chance of winning the Euros.

Despite your arrogant dismissal, your point doesn’t make any sense - Even using your logic, that’s 4/16 teams who haven’t had a call up from Southgate, and 2 of those have only been in the top flight for a few months, so he’s called up from nearly everywhere in the last couple of years. Again, Mings, Keane, Rice, Maddison, Chilwell, Callum Wilson are all regulars in the squad now, so the argument doesn’t hold any logical weight.

Despite your very rude reply what do the players you mention have to do with Palace players being called up by Southgate? Jeez. Have a nice day
