I'd love to see us appoint Christophe Pélissier as Roy's eventual replacement. Guy has done wonders so far. Got a team so bad promoted to Ligue 2 the French FA refused to let them in the league, went to Amiens and took them from 3rd div to Ligue 1 and kept them there. Went to Lorient in Ligue 2 again and has them top of the league already with a 5 point lead.

I’d love Mourinho. That’d be excellent but I don’t think he’s a Parrish appointment. Certainly with the fans behind him I reckon he could rediscover his love for the game. But the money......... If he really wanted it he'd do it for free. He really doesn't need the money.

He also loves Palace and the fans Indeed, to the point he criticised his own teams fans for not being more like us

Again who is out there? Mourinho- if he was brave enough- it could really invigorate him, but realistically who is out there.?? I'm sure we'll find someone.

With Steve Parish's love of recruiting old boys he can have his pick from Dowie, Pulis and Allardyce as they are all available at the moment

Mourinho's ego only allows him to operate at the very highest level ( ok, maybe Manure was an exception ! ), he wouldn't cope with working with the sort of financial restrictions he would have at Palace. Succession planning ? Virtually mandatory in most other business's, virtually unheard of in football. As for getting Popa / Jedi in - sorry but they just aren't qualified for the job. When the time comes it will be a tough decision because apart from FDB all our other managers while we have been in the Premier League have been highly experienced.

We could bring in Eddie Jones too if we do well in the World Cup? Seems like a good tactician and motivator. Maybe Tim Cahill to get Beneteke back to scoring headers in the box. Kevin Muscat isn't too busy these days either! With an Anzac theme, could we perhaps recruit Ben Stokes to provide some punch ??

What, learn a lifetimes experience in one half season, Jedi was a good player for us, but he isn't the brain of Briton or a winner of master mind

Being a leader on the pitch is completely different from being a decent coach. Sean Derry was all of the three things that you mentioned but failed as a coach / manager as did Gary Neville and Roy Keane And many many others, the only exception I can think of is Gareth Southgate, and he did it over a period of time, plus I dare to say, he is a lot more intelligent than Jedi.
