It's our home form which is appalling and disappointing.
Only 5 wins in our last 20 PL home games.Shocking.
Little wonder that many of our supporters just don't look forward to visting Selhurst Park any more.Same drab football game on game.

3 wins, 3 draws in 9. 3 defeats, two of them to the Manchesters. Our home form might actually be starting to turn and cannot be called appalling. Premier league football matches between well-matched peer teams are bound to be cagey. We are no different. It's just a tough league and, within it, we're relative minnows.

We tend to grind out results. Tomorrow will be no different . 1 goal either way, hopefully in our favour.

The 3 wins were against Fulham and Huddersfield who of course were both relegated and the last day of the season game against Bournemouth who had conceded quite a few goals away from home and were probably thinking about their holidays.I am therefore unpersuaded by the argument that our home form might be starting to turn based on recent matches.

After 3 matches, I’d say that’s a largely irrelevant statistic.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Crystal Palace 0 Aston Villa 1

We can't score at home and it only takes one goal to take home all the points!

We've had one bad result in 9, Brighton. All others were par. And yet the adjectives people throw about far exceed that reality in a negative way.

We are simply in a league where fine details, not dominant performances, win matches.

People are just looking at a fairly drab first game of the season and thinking that's what we are now. But i for one think drawing v Everton, and keeping a clean sheet, was fine.

We simply won't dominate teams at home as we would have sometimes in the Championship. Just like teams don't really dominate us when we play away.

Beating Villa would take our home form to slightly above par. That'll do me.

This is a distinct possibility. All Villa need to do is sit deep and we're fooked. We're sooooo easy to beat at home.

If they attack and try to win, we'll beat them 3 - 1.

Don't know how it'll play out....

1-0 to us. Tekkers to complete the full set, scored against us for Villa and the Scousers, scored for us against the Scousers.

Hopefully the Groiniad have this wrong but starting against a promoted side at home with a midfield of MacArthur, Kouyate, Luke and Schlupp, not exactly showing attacking intent.
