Gigg Lane cant be sold per se, the land was bequeathed to the club. IF the ground was to be sold then whoever bought it would HAVE to build them a new stadium. True dat. Thanks, still I wonder if the club no longer exists then what does that mean to that clause? Maybe that's why some people wanted to see Bury go bust? Sorry all ill informed speculation I know but something stinks.

Really puts our recent ‘struggles’ in to perspective. Bolton and Bury are historic clubs and this should not be happening. Can anyone explain to me what is actually wrong with the EFL and why this is happening on their watch? Surely there has to be an explanation? It’s quite simple, they are spending more than their income Bolton in particular had a £180m debt when they left the Premier years ago and never recovered. One of the reasons FFP was brought in.

Expelled from the league means that they will presumably reappear in the non-league. I'm not happy with people thinking this is fine. A solution could have been found that suited all. At the end of the day football shouldn't all be about money but with all the pricks involved these days it is. Really the problem is the Premier League, and the way that it has eroded English football into a commodity rather than a community.

Just heard the Chairman of Accrington Stanley on the radio. Heard him before seems a well grounded individual who talks a lot of sense. It's a right old mess at Bury they've had one more than one dodgy owner. There's a whole load of financial stuff around the stadium and the car park. His advice to the supporters walk away from Gig Lane it's not worth it, start with a clean slate somewhere else in Bury. He feels that clubs should not be allowed to get into debt in the first place and that the EFL needs to tighten up the rules. He also pointed out the the current owner Steve ? bought the club for £1 and then told the EFL. How can that be right the EFL need a golden share in each club so any sale can only happen after they approved it. Anyway fingers cross they come back stronger.

Just had a look at the club's accounts and the contrast between lower league clubs and clubs like ours is apparent when you look at Bury's turnover for the year of £4.6m which is about what Wilf Zaha earns in 10 months
