He's only had 12 Prem games. Not sure how many minutes that was.

Not sure on our summer budget either so can't comment on that one can I.

That's 12 more than AWB had when he was called up to play man utd.

Yeah, well, he was 20 years old, not 22. He was ours, so we didn't pay for him and actually made quite a good profit.

If we pay 15 million for a 22 (soon to be 23 year old), how much do you think we're gonna sell him for in 3-4 years (when he'll be 26-27)? I can safely say it won't be for more than 20 million. Cause you only get an abnormally large sum for a player who is very young- like AWB was. It could be for nothing too, so they would be 15 million down the drain.

At least he plays in a position we actually need and is a decent enough, relatively young player. No way we are even looking.

I respect your knowledge, however I think you're slightly off the mark here. These days £15M will not buy you a superstar, if we speant £15M on a 23 year old that has premier league experience and was say as good or maybe better than Ward and played 15 games a season, whilst offering completion for position for 7-10 years then that would represent good value in my book. We need player around this age, realistically I'm not sure we are going to get better.

We’re not of course obliged to sell him. He’s pretty much the same age as Martin Kelly was when he arrived.

You’re right though 15 mill is steep but that’s what happens when you shop in January. Both have done nicely for us as it turns out but we payed well over the odds for Schlupp and PvA when they first came.

Spiderman, please just stop talking to me and off. You just called me an idiot in that other thread and now you want me to answer you.

Your notions and knowledge about football are completely ridiculous.

Not a very nice response! I can’t remember calling you an idiot as I am sure I would have got a warning but if you can show me my response I will apologise. I do recall you stating that another posters opinion was idiotic though

Will post here too....

Is it not worth a mention that Walker-Peters won the Under 20’s World Cup for England? I don’t know much about him but his pedigree is solid and there is enough evidence to suggest he has a promising future ahead of him.

He has also shown he’s capable of providing assists, wiki states he actually provided a hat trick of assists vs Bournemouth. His current Premier League record is 5 assists in 12 games.

No idea where Matteo is getting Bogles goal scoring record from. He’s scored twice in 58 championship games.

I'm not really sure what you're reading, but there are a lot of mistakes in this. No, he did not provide any hattrick of assist ))

He has no 5 assists in 12 matches...

He won an U20 World Cup where he played Guinea, Costa Rica and Venezuela to get to the final. He played mostly as left back. Now, you could say that it's great that he's also able to fill in at left back, but I don't rate players who play 7 positions and actually none very well.

Italians had this "double fullback" player a few years ago. None of de Sciglio, Darmian, Santon really did anything great with their careers playing both right back and left back.

Santon was signed by Pardew for Newcastle and he played in both full-back positions.Right-footed although of course he played at left-back.I believe he started hs career as a right-sided attacker or winger and showed ability coming forward from full-back positions.

I have never been that enamoured with Darmian who is another player who has played in both full-back positions but mainly at right-back.A few years ago it was thought that with his slight frame he needed to grow somebulk to cope with the rigours of the PL.Van Gaal signed him for Man Utd.

Well, if the bosses saw this and went like "Hey, let's buy this guy!! He's amazing at 23! Had 3 assists in the Bournemouth game, 5 in 12 matches in the PL. Surely worth 15 million." then I have to say that they're getting really ripped off.

There are no assists! Look at the Tottenham- Bournemouth higlights: [Link]

He didn't even play. He has 400 minutes the entire season and has missed Tottenham's last 10 matches due to not making the squad.

Yes and we all know what the current Tottenham manager thought of Kevin De Bruyne and Mo Salah when he was in charge of them at Chelsea!
