The shooters who are murdering due to replacement and no doubt other reasons specific to them are definitely a reality.

However, the left cannot make the absurdly one eyed claim that rhetoric from Trump plays a factor in mass shootings while rhetoric from their politicians doesn't.

Those who live in fantasy land and talk about 'challenges' and about how people are just going to have to learn to 'share' while they live at the tough end....all while they play bowls in Cornwall...well people like that are really just parodies and have nothing realistic to say.

The politics of idealists have created the social incohesion that now pervades society and now we will have to live with increasingly frequent horrors.

All given to us by those too stupid to recognise that the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

What rhetoric specifically from Democratic politicians do you think was a factor in the Ohio shooting?

Well, I'm not a supporter of making these connections, however I'm stating that if you're going down that path then it isn't one sided.

As for the Democrat side.

Thanks for the link.

Surely the clear difference is that the Ohio guy didn’t seem to be targeting anyone specifically, whereas the El Paso guy very clearly did - one was evidently politically motivated, one does not seem to be.

If there were more examples of politically motivated left-wing killers I would agree with your point, but the numbers don’t particularly seem to support that?

It would first be useful to ascertain whether this person's politics had absolutely anything to do with the shooting incident.

But beyond that, while I'd say that Trump's rhetoric is specifically designed to encourage and then disown the threat of violence once it occurs, there have always been dialed down versions of the same thing. And the actual mindset of those at both political extremes who would choose to engage in violence are all but identical. People who fall between the cracks of society and go down one too many online rabbit holes for their own good. Whether left, right, jihadist, people who lose meaningful connection to their fellow man and decide that the destruction of innocent lives is the answer to their own shortcomings.

This is the sort of result you would expect when people wake up to the threat of their replacement.
You know. The stuff that people claimed was crazy talk but is now on the horizon.

Some who feel powerless to stop it will lash out. Most of us will not see the logic of killing innocent people since it will make no difference to anything.

The bottom line is that what this guy did was totally wrong but his belief that his race is being rapidly outnumbered and eventually replaced is legitimate.

As we have discussed in another thread it isn't legitimate because it isn't true. It's yet another conspiracy theory. Maybe not of the classical type but there are enough elements there for it to be one. Take a look at this video. Please ignore that it is found on the BBC. It was published by the Open University:-

I think I would agree with the idea that there are probably more mass shootings from those on the 'right' as opposed to 'left'....for one, they will have more guns.....and two, you have the 'replacement' factor.

I have provided examples of left wing attacks like the border police attack, tranny shootings and republican politican shooting.....all not so long ago.

However, these are always going to be edge cases in a population of over three hundred million....the vast majority of people on either political side just aren't violent enough to go out and do these terrible crimes.

I know many men with a mental age over 12. That happens when you play lawn bowls almost every day! Many are as sharp as a needle. You need to be to play the game well.

I was commenting on the racial aspects of the reactions to gun crime and not making a racial point of my own.

So the argument could be made that the rhetoric from right wing commentary is proving more powerful/effective in terms of drawing people to action - impossible to quantify obviously, but it’s certainly not illogical to suggest it.

Agree overall; anywhere doing this sort of thing is an extremist of one kind or another.

Sure, issues like high immigration are hot button issues for the right.

Right wing politicians aren't reflecting reality if they aren't opposing that. That said, stating opposition isn't encouraging violence.....though I know both sides are guilty of decidedly iffy statements.....Trump makes a dog whistle out of it.

The Paso shooter, as with the New Zealand shooter, was motivated by replacement.....that is independent of what a politician says......indeed, they hardly mention it.

Regardless of the motive it's a statement of the obvious that murdering innocent people goes against any moral reasoning.....the streets are not a battleground.

A daft conspiracy theory? That is no doubt what Neanderthals told themselves round the campfire.

We are outnumbered 10 to 1 and in decline. Europe and the US are rapidly filling with migrants who will have more children than us and that process will accelerate in the coming decades.

How does anyone arrive at the idea that our days aren't numbered?

You want to compare something that can be extrapolated using current trends to Bigfoot?

Prostate cancer is a bit of a bugger, but there are always around these things!

Oh you certainly come across as bitter and twisted but I live in hope that your future posts will demonstrate that is incorrect.

Don't worry about JC. He is on the slippery slide to a historical footnote. Antifa already are.
