I'd love to get to every game but the last one was £80 for ticket & train & I didn't get home till gone 8pm, lot of cash & a long day to be doing that every home match. Were I closer I'd have a S/T for the Holmesdale but fortunately there's plenty of methods available to still follow the games.

Similar to others on here.
Attending less and less games and haven't renewed our memberships this year. Wanted to get the kids into going to games. To follow your local team and be part of the social gathering attending as a family. With the wife and two kids it is costing us £150 per game and as Cat A are usually bundled with Cat b it means shelling out £300 in one go - just can't justify it anymore. Especially when you then see some of the shambolic effort put in by players earning £100K per week...

Will still watch some streams / tv games but have found that now the kids have gotten to an age where they are playing a decent standard of football themselves I get more enjoyment from watching their training sessions and matches sometimes than attending Palace games. Bringing the game back to grassroots maybe?

Never used to get people who used to say that they preferred their chosen team to be at Championship / League 1 level but beginning to see where they are coming from.

I think the OP made some excellent and valid points.....it's a working man's game and the working man with a family is going to struggle on Premiership prices.

Personally I think the top tier players are paid far too much and I don't go with the 'what the market will bear' argument......there should be some form of wage cap.

If you are 10 percent better than someone on twenty grand you shouldn't be paid 600 percent more or even higher....as can happen.

I'd probably have a player transfer value system based upon statistics.

But there you go....I would also advise streaming rather than skinting your family.

A working man should be able to bring his young family to the game the same as back in the day without having to earn buckets.

It was a working class/mans game. It isn't now. Hasn't been for a while.

Did you know? 98.0000001% of people are morons.

I remember a time when I thought paying £5 was a rip-off! TSN & ESPN have lost the contracts in Canada for the next 3 years at least so I subscribe to DAZN who say they are broadcasting every single Premier league game live. Is that is correct then I will get to see 38 live Palace games for $150 - that's about £95 or £2.50 a game. Mind you I'll still be complaining if they play sh*te.

Why worry about TODAY when TOMORROW will be even worse.
