He has got a great deal on his plate at the moment and all his effors are concentrated on areas other than the media. He was in America I think boozing on his birthday wasn’t he? What about that summer of FDB and 7 Parish holidays? Kareoke, jet skiing etc etc? A few comments or PR leaks don’t take up much time at all, and Parish can’t wait when it’s positive. The fact is there’s loadsxof question marks hanging over the club right now and the usual summer strategy is to say nothing, including the manager. If they don’t agree they leave, as Sam did. That’s because something is brewing and he is playing his cards close to his chest. Before AWB was sold, we were told he would be with us for the 2019/20 season, then bam he’s gone.... Not a squeak from Parish on this, then all goes quiet again. I am telling you something’s brewing, he is never this quiet... Edited by Gary St.Andrews (20 Jul 2019 9.08am) Maybe its wind, I have lost confidence in Parish, Hodgson and Freedman, I think its going stale.

Maybe, or he’s just mute like he always is until we buy a player or he loses it on Twitter or we get our results together however many months into the season. I hope your thoughts are correct and mine are completely wrong..

Rudi Modern communications means that being abroad does not preclude one from engaging in important club business. At the end of the day, Parish will not provide any details regards our targets and with no real signings made there is precious little for him to report. One wouldn't expect a running commentary on such matters.

You’ve just agreed with me and rubbished your own nonsense that Parish is too busy to release comments. I don’t know why you got involved in this particular matter. You’ve gone full circle without proving anything. Parish chooses when to comment in public. And usually never during summer windows. Nothing to do with time or resources or any stupid claims like that. It’s a strategy. Well sort of.

What is he meant to do? We might sneak another season of survival if Zaha is forced to stay and stays fit, but it will be no thanks to the efforts of DF and Parish if that’s the case. With respect you have mis-interpreted my comments perhaps because I never explained my viewpoint very well (Which is quite normal!). All I was trying to impart is that Parish is working around the clock on club business at this busy time and with nothing really to report on transfers is concentrating all his efforts in this direction. When there are any positive developments to report I suspect he might break his radar silence. In terms of silence during the summer windows, I am led to believe that it is a very busy time for clubs and if it was me I would be getting on with the job in hand and only take to the media if I had something positive to report to the supporters in terms of transfers etc. Edited by Willo (20 Jul 2019 10.21am)

Edited by coulsdoneagle (20 Jul 2019 9.36am) Think my problem with Hodgson is my perceived lack of forcefulness with SP and DF, wouldn't want his last season to be a disaster.

Could be worse, we could be West Ham, no matter how many gazillions they spend, they still end up s***e or below average at best
