I read somewhere (not entirely sure how true it is) that Parish is under pressure to sell AWB from the American owners. I have a feeling that people may well be in for a disappointment if they think this cash is simply going to be reimbursed on players. Probably bring Clyne in for relatively cheap, a loan or 2 again and perhaps one other signing. But I think Parish's gameplan for the foreseeable future is to secure his new stand legacy & hope that Roy will keep the ship afloat in the meantime.

It is possible because they might be owed over half of the transfer fee. There’s not a lot anyone can do to stop or prevent this. However, this does bring into question what was the point of them. The ringfenced money will have effectively never been used if they sell, whenever that is, before the new stand is built. We need those shares bought by better investors asap.

It definatley seems that way , it would explain why no attempt has been made to keep AWB at selhurst park , which will soon renamed as sell( everything) hurst park. Ha see what i did there ? Boom

Can imagine this years transfer budget will be slightly higher than normal, but even so the club saves money as they wont be spending all the TV cash... But yes we wont be spending AWB and the TV cash... Supports seem to struggle with the idea of Palace balancing the books.... Also whats so bad with Parish wanting the new Stand to be his legacy ? weird that thats a bad thing...

Can we get whoever is in charge of transfers in at Crystal Palace Ladies in to the men's side with some of the AWB money? They've already signed 3 players!

Given we will be getting £45m up-front (reported) this is how I would look to build on the squad. I would like for us to sign Max Aarons as a direct replacement for AWB. I reckon we should test Norwich resolve with a bid of around £20m I think we are missing an option up front – we have been missing the smaller, faster, poacher type of striker to give us options not only in personnel but in how we play. Dwight Gayle fits the bill – I know a lot of us aren't keen on bringing in players who have been here before but DG should never have been sold and he is a much better player now than he was when he left. I would test Mike Ashley with a £20m bid again. Another option going forward is on the wing. We lack depth in this area and it makes us very predictable in how we line-up. I would consider Ryan Babel would be relatively cheap at around £5m but would be an option off the bench and allow is to be more flexible with Wilf and Andros. Now we have spent the money for AWB I would expect the remaining budget to be used on Loan players. I think Reece James fits the bill – adds depth in the RB area and also can cover in CB and CDM where necessary – he is a better option than Reidewald who I expect will be sold or sent on loan. The second loan option I would expect is to cover us in CB. I worry about us when our big men are out and unfortunately I can't see Sakho or Tomkins playing out a full season unharmed. I would utilise the conversations we have been having with Man Utd to bring in Axel Tuanzebe with a option of a permanent deal. I would like this option for both James and Tuanzebe but it is more likely with the latter. I think these deals would give us more depth and make us a more useful outfit overall. Thoughts?
