What’s bloody farce.
And as for the importance of it, Andros goal kept the Premier as a two horse race. Without that, MotD would have sunk months before.
Typical BBC hypocrisy.

Didn't really want my post merged with this thread because this is for a separate vote that means more than the poxy MotD one that's already over...

Is it normal for MOTD’s goal of the season to be decided by a studio vote, regardless of the public’s choice? I suppose we in this country should be used to that by now. The MOTD mob fully expected Townsend’s volley would win it, but they wanted Kompany’s goal to be chosen, allegedly because of the importance of the game in which it was scored. What a complete load of biased rubbish.

We should award a People’s Goal of the Season to The Starman.

Carling Premier League Goal of the Season is.....Andros Townsend, its official.

"
Crystal Palace winger Andros Townsend has scooped the Carling Premier League Goal of the Season award for his sublime 30-yard volley away at Manchester City.
The Eagles winger netted Palace's second in a shock 3-2 victory at the Etihad Stadium - the only time Pep Guardiola's side lost at home in the league this season."
