No way Welbeck spends as much time injured as Wickham. Spend big on Mitrovic who will bag 15 plus goals

Not my favourite player but surely Welbeck makes sense now? Time is running out for both the player and for us to do something for next season, both have equal need to make something happen, so a deal must now be more possible than it perhaps was two months ago. Give him two year deal. For him, he still thinks he can play champions league football and he'll be motivated to show it in the knowledge that his contract is a short one and he'll be great value for someone. For us we are not over committed financially if he gets crocked again. Even if he only plays 20 games he'll be a big plus. Edited by TheBigToePunt (31 Jul 2019 9.32pm)

and if he's not already on a high enough wage a sniff at how desperate we are & he'll dig his heels in or ask for more. all this should have been sorted in the last weeks of the season & here we are about to restart the next season & we've yet to do any business other than Ayew, what a shower.

I would really love this to happen, I think Welbeck would be a fantastic addition to the squad.I know injuries are a problem with him, but to be honest some of the players we have been linked with are not exactly earth moving.

Looks more and more inviting every passing day. Still think it's a poor move, but hopefully his desperation will match ours.

Avoid him like the plague. It's the last thing we need.

We will end up signing either Welbeck or Sturridge at this rate. As long as he's found his dog. I always thought Sturridge the much better striker whilst Welbeck a better utility forward. Perhaps one of them and Cahill. Large enough wages but no fees. No sell on value but would be enough to keep us up for another year.
