I’ve always liked gray and think given time he could be Zaha esc, might not have the same heart in mouth skills as Zaha but in turns of assists, goals and dragging the other teams defence about I recon he could have it. Could try and invest in Ryan seassegon from Fulham, no where near the full article but neither was Zaha when he first played in the prem

Shelvey and Welbeck (free). Both experienced Internationals.

Shelvey pin point passing, Welbeck knows how to score goals. Would revitalize both their careers. We might see some home wins next season!

Shelvey has only made 1 start since the turn of the year.
Welbeck hasn't played for Arsenal since November last year.

Welbeck might be worth a punt but seems to have racked up a lot of injuries and his scoring record is about 1 in 5 which isn’t great.
How times have changed that Palace can be reluctant to take on a striker with forty England caps
We have been linked, no idea how seriously, with Joe Lolley. I haven’t seen much of him but he looks an interesting option.

Karanka signed him for Nottm Forest from Huddersfield.Came through the non-league ranks before joining Huddersfield but I'm not sure of the teams involved.
Left-footed,can run with the ball and go past opponents.Certainly a good ball carrier who moves forward with purpose. Can make a difference in a game in a 1v1 situation and takes free kicks over a wall.
He is very left-footed and likes to cut in from the right and shoot with his left-foot and we already have Townsend who does this.
I was informed he supports A.Villa.

Thanks Willo. Interesting information. Looking at his scoring record it’s better than Townsend’s albeit at a lower level of course.

I’d agree he’s irreplaceable like for like but how about if we bought more than one player with the money?

If we sold Wilf but bought; Lookman, Daniel James & Che Adams I think we’d be stronger overall.

If the worst was to happen then this would help ease my pain. All young exciting talent, sell on value and could offer sensible wages. Although I believe all 3 will have many suitors so competition likely to inflate transfer fee and salary. I think they could be secured if moved quickly but that's not usually something that happens at Palace and it's usually the entire summer we're left to wonder will Wilf go or will be sign a new contract! Luckily it's been the latter the last few years.

If my memory serves me well,Daniel James was on his way to Leeds in the last window but the deal fell through.

Apropos Che Adams, like Lolley he has come through the non-league ranks - Nigel Clough signed him for Sheff Utd from Ilkeston.I believe Southampton have been casting eyes in his direction.

Zaha has handed a transfer request 24 hours before the end of the window!
Can we replace him this late. If there isn't a replacement I can see relegation at the end of the season, he is that vital to us!
Only replacements I could think of was Saint-Maxim who has moved to Newcastle or I.Sarr who is likely to move to Watford.
Who could we realistically replace Zaha with?

Won't be popular on here, but amongst the rumours Everton look like they're trying to offload Bolasie. Either include him in the deal or hopefully get on on the cheap.

He's a fan favourite here, if he can build his confidence with the Selhurst crowd behind him and stay fit, could be a good short term replacement.

We're short on wing depth even with Zaha so it's a major concern.

You would hope/expect (although with Palace you can' be sure) they have a few targets lined up and have already been negotiating with potential replacements in the event of Zaha leaving.
