AJ. Gave some fantastic memories on the pitch and was a really nice bloke to meet. Likes a beer Michael Hughes. His best moment was playing for NI against Wales, when he absolutely tw@tted Robbie Savage,...and they both got sent off Aki's writing was really good and slightly off-centre. He wrote some very interesting articles. Nico Vaesen. Not strictly our player (a loan), but his keeping was outstanding. Particularly in the PO Final. Ben Watson: I know he got a lot of 5hlt from fans. But remember seeing him signing autographs after the 2-2 draw with Southampton, and the guy was crying. That's balls, and shows how upset he was by the result Edited by Forest Hillbilly (06 Mar 2019 12.34pm)

Johnny Byrne For sheer skill only Wilf comes close, Ian Wright for his goals and John Jackson for being the best goalkeeper in Englnd to not win a cap, Kenny Samson the best left back we've ever had and Jim Cannon for loyalty and being a damn good centre half as well. I await people posting to tell me I've gone too far back but honestly some of the names mentioned in above posts are pygmies compared to my five above. You’ve gone too far back!! But if you’re going to go that far back,it’s not your only cock up, because you’ve missed out Sir Billy of Gilbert

I only chose five so I left out the likes of Terry Long, Cliff Holton, Alan Stephenson and a few of our current crop as well. Wilf Damien Delaney’s time with us was a fairytale, him and Jedinak installed a special spirit into this club that’s carried on today, absolute warriors.

I can’t believe no one has mentioned Dougie Freedman, who is one of my favourite all time Palace players. Edit - just noticed the Doog had a previous mention Edited by Bexley Eagle (09 Mar 2019 10.23am)
