God Id love that to happen.

Imagine ending Saturday with a positive goal difference and the knowledge that the weeds will be crying themselves to sleep for months. That said...

Reality check - its a game against another EPL team; one that turned us over with 10 men just a few months ago; we are at home; and we are on Sky. All bad omens.

Palace are a superior team and should win. But if they park the bus and seek to play our counter game, we may be sucker-punched with a 0-1 loss.

Ooh, can't call it.

It would be great to be treated to some of the goals we have been knocking in away from home.

I don't think we have scored more than 2 goals in a home game this season, and that only about 3 times.

I believe we'll win but I don't see a hatful of goals.

Before the penalty it wasn't any different from the Leicester 4-1 and the Burnley 3-1, the second goal from a wrongly awarded corner arrived after Brighton were reduced to ten men, subsequent defending for it resulted in their second when our defence failed to pick up their substituted player.

Not very hard to work out folks, wish everyone would stop mentioning this as being a bad player performance when Mr Friend caused the result. Everyone also knows how organised their defence is at home.

Roy didn't really agree with you:

"We were disappointed by the penalty decision, but we hadn't been playing well," Palace coach Roy Hodgson told Sky Sports.

"It's disappointing to concede from the corner and the third goal gave us a mountain to climb. The players gave it their best shot and kept going.

"All first goals are decisive. Anyone who has seen the replay of the penalty will have seen what I have seen so there is no point commenting. That wasn't the crucial factor. The second goal was the really decisive moment."

We should be two goals better than Brighton but our home form is so abysmal that anything could happen.

Correct. Arsenal, Burnley, Fulham. Plus Tottenham in the FA Cup.

I can dream. A 2-0 win in each half will ensure that only Brighton supporters leave before ninety minutes. The MOTD order of screening could allow us to go to bed happy at 10.45 p.m. COYP

I've had time to reflect on my prediction, which now seems a bit unrealistic.

On balance: 8-0.
