How much of it is there to watch? Series, episodes, hours/minutes?

I may watch it one day. Has it ended or will it end, or do you have to catch up while it’s still being aired?

There’s been seven series so far, I think the first six series had ten episodes, with series seven having seven episodes, the final series starts in April which I believe has six. Each episode is about and hour if I remember right, a bit longer for each season finale

You know you want to

That includes 15 minutes of adverts

I was a latecomer to the series and bought the first three or four series on DVD. If you have a decent sound system the sound is stunning but unfortunately it's nowhere near as good on Sky as the sound is too compressed

I have never seen the appeal of Casablanca.

Predator is awful too but that is part of its charm.

My favorite bits are where someone treads on a scorpion and it is the wrong way round when he lifts his foot and in the original cut, Carl Weathers clearly has his arm tied behind his back when supposedly it had been blown off.

I watched the box sets on sky and there was no adverts and I’m sure it was still an hour, but I stand corrected if I’m wrong because it was the summer before last I watched them all.

Spot on about the sound, I had my sound bar on if it wasn’t too late and the battle field scenes, especially when the dragons were involved was mind blowing

Well, good point I think you're making. I shall rephrase. "I disliked it immensely".

I don't like people saying stuff is crap because it just doesn't appeal to them either!

Interesting.

I remember going to see Terminator for something to do with my then girlfriend, because it had Arnold in it and with no expectation, and it turned out to be one of the best low budget sci-fi films I have seen.
James Cameron knows how to make great action movies as he proved with again Aliens.

It ain't meant to be super intellectual or profound or anything like that. It's an hour and a half of escapism.

I think with a lot of "classics" if you weren't there at the time then you won't ever get it.

Yes. I think that sometimes you have to be the right age and see it in the context of its time.

That said, I haven't yet seen a better sci-fi/horror than Aliens, Alien, The Thing or Invasion of the Body snatchers even with all the CGI available these days.

I have never seen The Sound of Music ...... and, believe me, for someone of my generation that is an achievement!
