You're right, and it's such a poor reflection on the media and society that it's the expected norm that this sort of innocuous, candid chat would draw outrage because it touches on prejudice, so the teller should be wiser and stick to script in case it's pulled out of context.

Yep, and yep. But there’s no place for context or anything lasting than 45 seconds if there’s someone famous to hang to make a point on a crime they haven’t committed. A downside of technology I’m afraid, and this will have negatives with the positives, just so people can satisfy their need to be shocked (thank the Diana funeral for this), and feel more virtuous for a few seconds as has already been pointed out. It’s going to be a strange world in a few hundred years if it hasn’t flooded. I’m glad I won’t be around. Who’d want to be? Feck that.
