On the face of it, it makes sense as Wickham is only good for cameos and Benten is both injury and form stricken. But it all feels a little like Sturbridge to WBA - awkward.

By all accounts did very well at Dortmund, but dross like this means it could be 50/50 as to whether we get any value out of this. The miss isn't the worst I've seen but it was obviously the last straw for them

I'm happy with this though we need to give him some time to get into the swing of things....my only concern is that we wont create the chances for him. If Wilf and Andros change their pattern of play in the final third (i.e. stop trying to do it all themselves) then he should do ok. Just dont expect miracles from him, which undoubtedly some in our number will! If he scores 5 to 7 goals in the remaining fixtures I'll be well happy!

Based on current rates of return, I would be over the moon with 5 to 7. He needs a run of games first and foremost. Giving him the Sorloth approach to game management will not get him firing. I have to believe Roy wanted this and I have to believe he has come here to play regularly and try to get his career back on track.

Very happy to see Michy join up for the rest of the season. Not a bad window in my opinion. Roy was certainly making the right noises about him at his press conference so I think he was in favour of the move. I do think the most we can expect is to see him on the bench for Fulham given that he won't have any preparation time with the rest of the squad but then hopefully he will get his chance. Interesting to see if Roy does partner him with Tekkers as I think they could complement each other's style of play. Connor will be fine - he now has the rest of the season to work his way back to fitness without massive pressure to be our saviour.
Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that. |

I'd take that from any striker we have at the moment to be honest. Good point about Wilf and Andros which I agree with. Hopefully he can get into the right positions and they can supply.
