Can we afford to let more players go if we have no budget to bring anyone in? We're already down to something like 21 first team players and 3 of those are keepers, Pape Souare is out for 2 months and Sullay Kaikai is clearly not rated by Hodgson. This would worry more (more than it is already). All it takes is for Luka, Kouyate or McArthur to get injured and suddenly we're light in midfield with Schlupp the only backup. maybe then we'd play with an actual striker

you forgot "it is what it is" and "back in the day" ‘Back in the day’ is lazy. Which day? Trying to sound cool when your life was probably dull. ‘It is what it is’ doesn’t bother me too much and probably good for things you cannot change and swiftly pass or are changeable. I see an ‘actual’ ‘striker’ has made it onto this thread, although it’s understandable given the circumstances of playing non strikers as strikers. It’s when I hear actual before something that is exactly that or nothing I roll my eyes, along with ‘literally’ when it just is, not literally, it is. Or agreeing by saying ‘literally.’ People should take note of the headmaster in ‘Silent Witness’ this week, although his daughter died from Fentanyl, because she was fancied by and begun kissing and meeting a drug dealer from the dregs of society.

Glad I live in the real world.

You still banging on about this.. the fact you are irritated by the language used on a football message board shows your age Rudi. For example how I would converse on a football message board would not be the same was I composing an email to a client at work. Nor would I expect someone to find such outrage with the word ‘actual’ and the placement of it in a sentence (on a football message board). The world is an ever changing place Edited by MonsterMunch (17 Jan 2019 4.07pm)

I’m not that irritated or very old either.

No. You didn’t see the programme then. Very good double episode. This thread also shows most have forgotten Jairo was still with us or ever was.

[Link] Yes,the deal has collapsed and the opportunity to move yet another of Steve's signings to make up the numbers has been missed, although players of a similar ilk have been successfully shipped out.Is that number up to six with currently, no new outfield players signed and Roy apparently, not expecting any before the window shuts??
