My heart always weeps a little for these poor sods from continents elsewhere who, as they put pen to paper, envision themselves signing for "the Crystal Palace in the cultured bright lights of HRH's city of London" and in fact just arrive in Croydon one week later

Is this transfer going to happen? It was imminent about a week ago. I'm guessing it's our usual snail pace transfer saga where he still isn't announced on deadline day and we inevitably fail to get the deal done lol

As he is from Brazil there is likely to be extra paperwork such as visas and work permits and the like. This is probably why it’s taking a while. We can manage with Speroni against Spurs anyway

I would wager this is another case of squabbling over agents fees or whatever it is that always sees us delay new signing announcements for a week or more.
