Actually he did almost cost us against Leics. Many refs would not have given a foul so think on what VG was doing messing about in his area and allowing Vardy to get that close to take the ball off him.

But the ref did give a foul, 3 games ago, for a clear push in the back.
We almost won 18 nil yesterday. But we never, just the one point, unfortunately.

Guaita has pulled off a couple of world class saves but his footwork is a bit slow and clumsy so just needs to improve on this.

I'd keep him in goal - would be unfair to drop him when we're unbeaten in 3.

I am certain that if Hennessey had let in the De Bruyne 'cross' against City he would have been crucified unmercifully but Guaita given the benefit of the doubt.

Same goes for his aberration with Vardy against
Leicester, many refs would not have seen a foul.

Having said that he has otherwise performed well and deserves to keep his place.

Given Jules was on the bench yesterday, Wayne clearly isn't fit yet. So on that basis VG will continue to start.
Given we have 2 clean sheets in 3 quite rightly so.

Hennessey should have to wait his chance now. Guaita has looked assured and pulled off a couple of memorable saves. He deserves the no1 jersey for the time being

By that logic if AWB or Wilf miss a game through injury and Ward or Ayew/Sorloth replaced them and had good games you would leave AWB and Wilf on the bench to await their chances would you??

Do you just post facetiously because you can or because you just like being unnecessarily obtuse?

I believe both keepers are of similar ability and the current incumbent deserves to stay in goal. Not sure why you felt it necessary to liken that to players who are clearly not of similar ability.

Hear hear. PZ clearly likes to spoil for a fight.
Hennessy is not in Zaha's league so the point that the replacement deserves his chance is more than reasonable. It's the way of the world except for the very elite few.

Ho ho ho. Gave me a right old chuckle here.

Comparing Hennessey to Zaha and AWB, potentially our 2 best players.

That is not so much apples to oranges as apples to typewriters.

Guaita is in now it seems, PZ, so you better accept it.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

Ward has been a good servant to Palace and would not let us down, to say that he is of lesser ability than AWB is not true, because he has a wealth of experience.that AWB has not yet acquired. If you are of the opinion that both our keepers are of similar ability then why should the one who misses out through injury not be given his place back as would be the case with an outfield player. I will concede your point regarding Wilf.
