It's probably a case of a stopped clock being right twice a day, we highlight the correct times but ignore the much larger incorrect times....they no doubt also believed in a lot of weird stuff.

That Rolf Harris could send you wrong no end of times....I mean.... He once convinced me that he had three legs.

There is a phone number you can call to report that kind of thing.

Me.... nah never been.
Well; never landed anyhow IMO

I've not been either

We've definitely been to the moon though. Any conspiracy that would require countless people to keep quiet for life is likely a load of guff.

It is strange that on certain threads you state that millions of us politically are being mugged off by the government and we cant see it.
Yet a few thousand supposedly couldnt have been mugged off 50 years ago to beleive something.
It only needed a few to know the truth and spread the lie.
The rules dont change when it suits.!

This is something of a leap (for man?) from a perfectly benign message. I have been especially circumspect when I've talked about Brexit on here. I've repeatedly stated that I couldn't care less if immigration was even cut to zero and that I appreciate it was a major factor in Brexit. I've stated that May is crap at negotiating a deal for the country and that the whole thing has turned into something of a car crash, which it has.

I think we're all perpetually being mugged off by the government and we can pretty much always see it, which is why trust in politicians has almost disappeared over the decades.

You missed my point and for the record i voted remain.
My point being it wouldnt have been that difficult to use a few people to tell loads a total lie.
Watch the movie 'capricorn one' about how it could be done.
Sometimes you look at historical posts to explain the present, reference the benign bit.

I still think it would most likely have got out if it was a hoax and that there were numerous aspects of the footage that would've been very difficult to fake. Beyond that we brought back much studied samples from the moon and as others have stated we are even able to bounce a laser off the reflectors left on the moon by Buzz Aldrin and Neil Armstrong.

Thanks for the movie suggestion, it looks well worth a watch. I'll be sure to check it out to get that take on the matter.

Cool
A good (not too) argumentative thread.

Sorry not buying it. The Russians and many of America's enemies would have loved nothing better than to prove it was a fake. It would have been the greatest propaganda coup of all time. The fact that not one world class scientist or scientific body believes in the fake theory tells you it was real. Like I said look on the internet for the program that debunks all of the theories.

I give you another one. Why were the photographs so perfect the astronauts were given chest held cameras because of their helmets they could not look through a viewfinder. The program asked the designer of the camera who explained he spent months teaching the astronauts how to take pictures and that NASA had thousands of badly taken shots. He felt it was a mistake that NASA only released the good ones.

well Russia are currently planning to go to the moon and the Russian Investigative Committee have called for investigations into the moon landings as they are not totally convinced themselves.

so I think things have been looked into by the Russians and that they would need concrete proof before making such accusations.
