We would need to build our team around getting Defoe the ball in the places he wants it to score goals. We have the players to do that but I fear not the manager. Roy would probably keep him on the bench anyway.

I think if we can afford his wages then it is worth the risk if he is fit and hungry. I was playing 5-a-side with former Arsenal striker Alan Sunderland tonight; he may be in his 60s, but he still had a great finish on him. If Defoe doesn't work out maybe I could put a word in?
