Nothing. Last year they had luck on their side and won a lot of games by the odd goal. This year luck has perhaps deserted them and they have returned to their natural level. Having been at both games last season we should have thrashed them at their place - but lost 1-0. I suspect there was plenty of that going on for them last year. They were also poor in our home game(although a pretty turgid affair)

At the same stage last season (13 games) Burnley were 7th and 13 pts better off than of now. They spent nearly £30 Mill in pre-season but half was spent on Ben Gibson who hasn't played a PL game due to injury.Maybe playing in the Europa League has had an adverse affect.

Heaven knows ... if we had a goal scorer I'd be more confident of getting something out of this game but we haven't and they have. Late second half goal and 1-0 to them.

Last night Burnley's strikers which played were Wood,Vokes and Barnes who got 29 goals between them last season in all competitions :
Wood 13, Barnes 10, Vokes 6.

Can't see where a goal is going to come from for us. It will be if by luck someone randomly gets into the box and the ball finds them, or Burnley defenders don't do their job and give someone loads of space to shoot. 1-1 at best, I don't think we have two goals in us.

The last time we lost at home to Burnley was in Apr 17 when we lost 2-0 but we beat 1-0 when we next played them at home which was last season. The last time they beat us at 'Selhurst' prior to that defeat in Apr 17 was way back in Dec 01.And I suspect many of us will recall that 2-0 win against them before a record crowd ! What a night !

We'll have the weight of expectation pressing down on us but at last I think we're gonna win - 2-0, Zaha & Tomkins header (in my dreams)!
Let's prove we're better than that shower of (that's enough - Ed.)

After a run of poor results, Burnley will no doubt come good in their next game. Palace have 'battled gamely' against 4 of the top 6 in recent weeks and got a couple of draws. But we're one point off the bottom of the table and level with Burnley because we've not got the results when we played Watford, Southampton, Wolves, Bournemouth and Everton. That seems to be a big difference between this season and last season; we're not even getting the results against the also rans.

Since returning to the EPL in 2013/13 we have managed to lose 50 home league games.

I think it'll be 51 on Saturday, 2-1 to Burnley.

Blimey,

These posts are becoming so negative it is almost if we have no chance of winning again this season, which is simply not the case.

Mark my words,a win at last by at least two goals,a turning point in our abysmal season to date!!

good post....

Our fortunes have to come good sooner or later.. we are playing better, it's just the whole no striker which is rediculous.... in all fairness.

We should win, but i can't see it.
