True... Guaitia is too good as second string - it's funny how some are rating him purely on WH being bad, but this season he hasn't put a foot wrong. It's a tough one. At least Hodgson isn't doing a pardew and dropping speroni saying 'oh he is still no 1 at the club, it's just that the rest are doing better at the mo, lol whilst he shuffled around 3 keepers then sent 2 packing. WH deserves his spot now, but ironically he has to dropped for a game, just so we can see what Guaita can do, he deserve that. The time is now in my opinion. So you are willing to possibly drop one of our best players this season, in a crucial position to see what the understudy could do ? Doubt whether even Citeh would do this.

That's going to boost Waynes confidence no end. What a ridiculous suggestion. I said 'ironically' because i am fully aware that WH is on a roll and he won't like to be dropped, who would? but with these 'easier' matches coming up, i would give Guaita a chance, rather than look at it as WH being dropped. It's called competition. Guaita could rise to the challenge and be amazing, then no one will give two hoots if WH stays on the bench. Put it this way... in august, we all expected to have seen Guaita start in the prem by now. Anyways painter, as you were.

Well possibly the manager, goalkeeping coach and other staff who see them every day in training. Who knows we may have a better defensive partnership than Sahko and Tompkins playing in the under 19's best pop them in the team and find out. Or better still a better striker than Ayew....Oh hang on a minute....

The shirt is Waynes to lose. There appears absolutely no signs of that changing any time soon. Deserves our support for turning it around. He admitted himself he was not loved by the fans so all credit to him hes been fantastic. Edited by MonsterMunch (26 Nov 2018 11.09am)

Edited by MonsterMunch (26 Nov 2018 11.09am) Yes he deserves plaudits for the turnaround in his fortunes.Has shown great character after being the butt of supporters. I do get the feeling though that had Lukaku not been marginally offside, there would be a different narrative on this thread !

True, but in the same token he does not deserve to be thrown to the wolves at the first sign of a misdemeanour. Goalkeepers are always going to make them, its comes with the territory. As with anything, everything is ok in moderation..

I do feel however that a mistake or two resulting in costly goals will be the trigger for a re-heated chorus of execration with fire and brimstone very much in evidence.

Every player has room for improvement, this eason Wayne has really turned it around in terms of overall performance. Whether it is due to coaching, competition or whatever it's good to see. GK out of form get a huge amount of stick from fans. Just wonder what the Spanish guy is thinking, he clearly came to us expecting to be first choice. Of course, if we let him go Wayne will immediately get injured or lose form Originally posted by The Dolphin

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |

Perhaps we will also be surprised when Benteke does the same !
