The whole Guy Fawkes burning thing does seem incongruous with current attitudes.

I suppose that Guy Fawkes has become a children's character rather than the representation of a real person.

The Catholics never get upset about it which makes a change. My sister in Law certainly celebrates like everyone else and she is a practising Catholic.

Oh dear me no. South Norwood so I suppose predictable it would be Palace fans.

Don't know if people noticed this point:

As the blaze takes hold, a voice can be heard to say "All the little ninjas getting it at the minute" while the camera focuses on a paper cut-out with a face covering.

I may have missed it, but I think it was only the young lad who was said to support Palace. Another was QPR. The others I didn't see a club affiliation but perhaps I missed it.

I find myself feeling sorry for these idiots, vile as the fire was. Their safety will be seriously at risk and I don't see the young fella rebuilding his life.

Why?

If that was the case, we would need a 60k stadium.

Oddly enough Palace fans, those on the BBs and mostly some dude called Maz.

I'm sure you are ok, Funty.

Don't talk crap.

I'd say that the disrespect of war dead by a group who would have probably been exterminated without the allies is arguably far worse than what happened here and was deliberately designed to offend.

What's the matter. Does it ruffle your feathers when reality gets in the way of your prejudice?

My comparison was about the response from the law.

What was your response when the poppies got burnt by the way?

or the sign about the RAF or did the bottle that one?

I just don't like nasty little internet bullies who hide behind the mods and delusions of intellectual and moral superiority.

I'm funny like that.

Call me nieve but what is actually illegal about what they did? I haven't heard any racist words just people in their own circle being laddish and stupid, we all know people that have said stupid things trying to be funny. Ron Noads is dead and we all know the song that is sung don't we now, so don't all be hypocritical now!!

English culture and belief in the "olden days" gives you a problem?

The problem with left footers like those in your family is that they are too thick to remember. Lowest denominator revisionism of centuries of English culture.

Corr, the next you will be complaining about poppies.
