Good to see Burns get into the forties.

These are average reducing pitches for sure.

Been watching this.....pretty poor spin bowling from all three spinners against a pretty average batting side.

If these are the best spinners in England....

To let their tail enders rack up nearly 100 runs like that is just pathetic. Piss poor.

They have the audacity to score more runs than us??

Who do they think they are, the EU ?

Anybody's game, 46 very useful runs ahead for the hosts could nullify the advantage of them batting last.

If we can get 300 have to fancy us but there is definitely a batting collapse in our line-up.

Let us pray........

Our last 4 racked up 20+ more runs than their last 4 did. And it's their home conditions.

Our 1st mediocre day since the opening day of the 1st test. Its still an even contest.

46 run deficit.
I am not that confident that we can win this test.Every chance of a batting collapse.

Excuse.

But we select a team which can bat quite deep. Their tail-enders are real tail-enders.

'Their tail-enders are real tail-enders.'

They certainly are, over 100 runs between them!!!!!

Stick to Scottish goal-keepers...…..

I watched that bowling performance real time......it was poor. That's not just my view either.

That wicket handles serious spin and our bowlers were nowhere near accurate enough.

Is that actually a fine day for England, 278 ahead?

If so the England captain deserves our praise, a fluent 124 runs against top spin bowling in Asia.

Vaughan described it as the perfect innings against spin and they should make a dvd of it.

And so positive accruing runs all the time, even a couple of sixes, Root leading from the front.

I don't see why the hosts cannot get the runs but historically the top 4th innings in Candy is 190.

could have been a potentially a lot higher score with better use of the England's TV replays.

3 of their 4 have higher first class averages than our equivalent positions.

Dickwella over Curran
Rashid over Perera
Dananjaya over Leach
Lakmal over Anderson.
