Sean dyche, dean smith, Jose morinho as I feel he’s always admired us as a club and supporters, but wouldn’t happen! Chris wilders a good shout too.

Now I have no love left for FdB as I genuinely thought he was horrible but to report this as a serious issue speaks volumes about the standard of reporting in England.

Ever heard of irony, sarcasm as in self irony? That was exactly what this was.

It was reported as a joke? The first word in the headline is even 'Joke'. It goes on to highlight that de Boer said it as a joke.

Surprised no mention of Arsene Wenger.
He should surely know what would be needed to finish in the top half on a regular basis.
Likes to develop talent and his teams play attractive football. Has he already been signed up by someone or retired completely from the game?

He's 69 this month and will be a septuagenarian by the end of Roy's contract. Hardly one for the future would you say?

Agree he's old.
Just thought that choosing between getting a couple of years out of him with all the experience he has or on another gamble because there are no other standout contenders it might not be too bad an idea.

I'd have Big Sam back in a heartbeat to be honest. You talk about a scouting network; The guy brought in PVA, Schlupp and Mili. I have no doubt we'd have a few better players with him.
Mourinho would be a great signing, but we would have to guarantee £50m a year (min) per year of his contract and aim for a top 4 finish.
Having said all that, I'm more than happy with Roy. He'll have same end result as any other decent manager that could come to us, which is not getting relegated. Personally, I don't really see the difference with finishing 12th and 16th.

Pretty sure he retired from football management at the end of the 2016/2017 season. That's what he told Parish anyway.

This is a joke, right?
Do you honestly see Jose coming to Palace, have you seen his transfer record? We don't have upwards of £100m to sp*nk on a couple of veteran players who will have no sell on value?

Howe and Bournemouth are joined at the hip, he is in his comfort zone there. He went to Burnley and failed probably because he went from a wonderful lifestyle in Dorset to the sh*thole that is Burnley and couldnt cope. I think he will stay at Bournemouth as long as they want him.

Howe will always remain at Bournemouth as you rightly say.
Further, why on earth would he want to manage us in the Championship which is where we are most likely heading on our present trajectory, particularly,if we lose our next five games in a row,not totally out of the question.

I looked at this thread expecting to see the OP shouted down for even bringing up the subject.

But, no. Everyone seems happy to pile in and start coming up with new names to take over.

Unbelievable.
