Yup. In EVERY British movie made between 1954 and 1968! If there is a sapper digging a hole who has but one line it's him.

Talking Pictures (channel 81) showed a mini biography of him. Quite amazing how many pictures he was in and how long his career lasted, by all accounts a good bloke.

I think his wife was a table tennis champ.

Karl Malden, with the big nose.

always plays a soldier-sidekick in dodgy 1970's war movies.

Rather than one big nose, he looked like he had one growing on top of the other.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Fondly remembered as the traitor (oops! plot spoiler) in ‘Daleks Invasion Earth 2150 AD’ - in 1966 the only film I ever went to watch with my Grandma (bless her soul). Sheila Steafel played a turncoat as well.

Harvey Keitel
Although not particularly 'unsung', but rarely a lead actor and makes any film he's in much the better for it. Cop Land and Thelma and Louise spring to mind

He's not exactly unknown but I've always felt that Bill Murray has never truly got the recognition he deserves... A truly fantastic actor...

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Classic indeed, and classic comic delivery, although the credit for the words must go to John Sullivan.
