Yet another socialist/communist country going to the wall through death and poverty. Hard for you to accept with your left wing principles I know.

Isn't one of the boosts to a peoples progressing cross pollination of ideas? Rome has been mentioned but they had a lot of ideas from Greece and other countries around the Med. Likewise a lot of information that was lost during the Dark Ages was saved within the Arab world and then re-introduced when the Moors invaded Spain. Likewise, in the Far East, China was a leader in ideas and passed them on through contact with other civilisations. We have been fortunate to have received new ideas, skills etc from being invaded and have taken these and added to them. To say Southern Africa had not progressed as rapidly as other areas is probably true (the same with the North American Indians and Aboriginal tribes in Australia) but I think that is mainly due to the fact there was little (if any) contact with the world outside of that area, although they did create some amazing structures such as Great Zimbabwe, Naletale etc. There are also some beautiful artefacts which have been found that are easily on a par with that found in the UK up to the early Middle Ages. Gold working, statues, carvings etc. Perhaps they just found their level and could live contentedly at that point? That is a very round the houses way of admitting what has already been stated. Europe has achieved a technological level that no other civilization has managed in forty thousand years. It appears that Africa has been at the bottom of the league since man first left it.

It appears that Africa has been at the bottom of the league since man first left it. Asia has reached this point as well and, what they and Europe both have in common, is interaction with other cultures and populations. Would the UK have progressed as much if the Romans and others had not invaded? I'd guess they wouldn't have if they had remained completely isolated. I think eventually they would have contacted the other places in Europe as it is relatively close to the UK and gained extra skills that way. Interestingly some of the early populations in South Africa had the skills to domesticate cattle and farm producing wheat and other crops. They also worked metal, including iron and lived in settlements so they had advanced. The southern African made this progression even though they were far further from other cultures than the people were in Europe. I should add that I think the land grab is wrong and highly stupid. The government should encourage the white farmers to take on apprentices to learn the trade and then grant them land when qualified. The way they are doing it at present will help no one and I fear it will cause a famine. Edited by johnno42000 (31 Aug 2018 4.57pm)

There's so many people on here pussy-footing around. Why not just come out and say that Black Africans are thicker than the rest of the planet's population ? It may well be the case. Who knows ?

All I was saying is that this is what people are insinuating, but don't actually come out and say it. And what has the ability to play football got to do with intelligence ? David Beckham's not the sharpest tool in the box either.

Well firstly because any evidence that proved that hypothesis scientifically would be suppressed and therefore unavailable. A difficult question with little information to go on.

Who are these parasites. Easy, the voters

Next you will tell me that the collapse of Venezuela has nothing to do with socialism...

What a daft thing to say. Africa is huge and places such as Timbuktu in Mali hold vast amounts of manuscripts containing knowledge written by both Africans and others. Here's a few more to show just how wrong you are [Link]

It was the inept and corrupt leadership that used Fascism as a banner & excuse for their failings.
