Romanian league a few years ago, African Nations Cup where Cameroon won and Czech Republic league recently.
A beast really. Can also play centre back. Very good at set pieces because of his height, both in the offensive (scores goals) and in the defense.

Maybe half of the players from weaker leagues make an impact when they come to the Prem. Kouyaté is reliable money-in-the-bank and a great signing IMO.

With the squad and money tight, we don't need more punts on Sorloths, Jachs and Rakips. For every Luka that pans out well, there is a José Campaña that wastes a squad space.

I did. I have a thread entitled "My summer transfers...". The players are written in the order I'd have taken them.

sorry but you didn't QUITE. I want a player who has been transferred into a PL club. I can't see that any of them have.

He also said we should sign Bamford this summer. Since then I've ignored all his suggestions. Plays a lot of computer games but that's about it.

Jeeze, if you don’t want to listen to Matteo’s recommendations then don’t. If you do then do. Personally, I switch off at Matteo’s lists, but I can see that other people enjoy looking at them. I don’t think Matteo cares, and not do I.

He recommended Yashimori Moto, so let’s see how that goes.

Where did I say that? I talked about 50 players who developed last year in a thread about the Championship, Bamford among them.
It's a big difference from saying we should sign him.

About the playing games, why do you make these personal attacks? Do you like to talk about me as a person rather than talk about the team or football? Does it give you more stregth? Does it make you feel better about yourself?

i love it how when people post on this board who have more knowledge than others they get put down & called out my jealous posters who wish they had the knowledge / contacts others have.

its utterly pathetic

there used to be a poster called piper who had inside knowledge years ago & he got hounded off the board by idiots.

keep up the good work matteo, most of us appreciate your insight

I have no issue with presenting info on players, and Matteo does a lot of good research and points out some possibly interesting players.

In this case, it's the way the title is worded and his assessment that I disagree with, and I think others do to. I think he vastly overestimated Ramires' value, or that he would be a better buy than Kouyaté.

More broadly, I would say it's because many of his posts are of the "I saw a newspaper rumour that player X was offered for X million, why didn't Palace buy him? Much better than X Palace bought" Yet if other posters recommend someone, Matteo is often quick to say, "that player is way to good and would never sign with Palace" (see: Meyer)

If you are going to second-guess a new signing before he's played a Palace game, prepare for people to strongly disagree.

I enjoy the player suggestions and assessments, but the "I would have constructed a far better squad, I could have signed X, Y and Z" is tiresome and better left to fantasy football.

Surely that’s the point. You had no way of knowing this either way, yet you pronounced he wouldn’t come as though it were fact.

I will give you credit as you don’t claim to be an ITK and you do seem to know a lot about central and east European players, which is fair enough given you live in Romania. When you claim x player would only cost y amount, and would want a wages, however, and treat your claims as fact that is a bit silly. Unless you work for the player or club concerned, you have no way of knowing for certain what they will cost, what wages they are on or want, nor whether they are even available, let alone for the amounts you cite.

If you haven’t figured it out yet, that is why people challenge you and keep pushing back. If you could provide actual evidence rather than opinion pushed as fact I think most people would give you an easier time. Or, if you were more open to the fact that you are spouting your opinion that might help too.

Clearly, a lot of people read your posts so I would not say you should stop posting but it might behoove you to accept you are posting an opinion.

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

i also think his post makes sense...pound for pound ramieres probably would be just as good if not better, league & champions league winner...there will be no resale value on either player.

as long as he didnt attack refs...haha

How would you know who has more knowledge and what contacts people have??

If Matteo claims to have knowledge and contacts then it's subjective and open to debate isn't it??

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!
