Swansea are a notoriously penny pinching club, the club refused to spend money in the premiership, now they are relegated they surely arnt going to buy players on jairos wages are they? Im still thinking its a loan deal personally.if its a loan deal we are laughing! Otherwise I dont see this being a great move for us tbh...

No apparently its a swap deal with Jordan Awye coming the other way. Plus us paying an as yet unknown sum. Based on Jordans form towards the end of the season looks like a good move to me.

Jairo Riedewald is an average player who nobody is quite sure what his position is, with all the injuries last year he hardly got a game, if Roy had rated him then he would have played, as I said in the Jairo page he will be gone by the start of the season
“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn |

So basically Meyer for Cabaye, Ayew for Sako, Kouyate for Riedewald. Personally, I think we could be up in all 3 of those deals. Riedewald has good potential but won't hit it if he doesn't play and if we have Meyer, Kouyate, Luka and McArthur he wouldn't play. Let's ignore the Lee and Delaney stuff - neither of them got anywhere near the team. For argument's sake Kaikai/Lokilo is Lee's replacement and the Academy centre back is Delaney's.

I guess that’s where the loans come in. Maybe we’re not actually relying on loans being the backbone of the team? I don’t know. Just a thought, or hope.

Best transfer news of the Summer IMO. Jairo's 'performance'against Spurs (at home) will forever have me spitting feathers. I have never seen a player be so scared. He may have touched the ball as many as five times, if I'm generous. Subsequently, Roy used him as a sub to 'see out games' and again the kid went awol - as did the result. Saw him at Oxford, looked like a bloke playing a testimonial; playing deep, safe passes, run five yards etc. I'm probably being unfair but for my mind, we're better off without him.

Nero also got really pissed and kicked his wife to death - if anything I'd say he's probably a good argument against impulsiveness

FFS, We buy players and they never get a chance to show what they can do. I thought he was the one good thing to come out of the Frank de Boer debacle. Seems a good player to have. Ok, he didn't play to much last season but when he did, He looked ok. I think he has a good future. Keep him. As for Ayew, he's not going to set the world on fire, we know that already. I would rather keep Riedewald than get Ayew in. We signed 3 Permanant players last season, if Riedewald goes, how many are still here less than a year after signing....

I hope he is just leaving us on loan as at times he does look like he he has what it takes. He can play at CD and defensive midfield. But he needs game time and he will not get that with us in the short term could get that on loan. He is I think young enough to not need a squad place so would not need to be in 25. He unfortunately was an FDB pick and we know how that ended. If we look at Wilf and the Man U experience maybe the same is true for Jaro and his confidence needs to be restored
