I am very sorry to see Yo move on from Palace. His signing 3 years ago represented a big step forward for Palace as our first "marquee" signing in the Prem with a big transfer fee and wages. And, in my opinion, he's been excellent value for money as his stats over 3 seasons consistently proved. His are very big boots to be filled and his influence in midfield will be difficult to replace. Our midfield next season could look very different if we don't manage to retain Rubén Loftus-Cheek for at least another season and there is any substance in the continuing rumours linking Andros Townsend with a move to Newcastle. I'm hoping that Steve Parish and Dougie Freedman are "men with a plan"! There seems to have been some criticism of Yo for choosing The UAE over another couple of years in the Prem. Let's be honest, how many of us faced with the choice of the increasing physicality of the Prem and facing the likes of Huddersfield on a cold wet windy Saturday afternoon wouldn't have been tempted by two years in Dubai? So from me it's good luck for the future, Yo, and thanks for three quality years at Palace that were crucial to keeping us in the Prem.

When your missus is as fit as his he needs to keep her in the lifestyle she is accustomed to. So a smaller salary at Palace or a payday in the middle east?!?! Uuummm ... #sadbuttrue #thanksforthememories #dontletheroutofyoursight

Not sure how we will replace his quality. Not without spending 25 mil anyhow.

I remember how excited I was when he joined. He never really lived up to my expectations, but he was still a fine servant and a quality player. I think he would have really struggled this year as his body seemed to be struggling through a lot of last season and this move may be as much to with that as it is about money. In my dream world RLC will come back on loan and slot into the middle, Kirby will make the step up and we'll sign a new and exciting winger to compete with Andros and Wilf.

We may get Erdal Rakip on loan from Benfica again Last time I was at Selhurst (v Liverpool) I was talking to a lad on the tube. He was a season ticket holder. I'm a long-term fan and member. Neither of us could remember who the lad on loan was or even what position he played in. Big impact.

Very cruel! But probably accurate. I'm expecting our entire budget to be blown on RLC, for him then to be injured after 4 games, and the lack of cover elsewhere to cause another struggle, It's the Palace way! Originally posted by ASCPFC
