Just a heads up....you're presenting things as facts that are actually simply opinions or beliefs.

I could quite easily turn around and say the same. That I categorically know God exists. And I'd say that I do. But technically, it's still my belief system...not a fact.

It's not 'obvious' at all.

It is extremely unlikely that God exists.
If you want me to even care if God exists or not then you had better come up with some evidence to at least make the idea plausible.
The evidence is that God is a construct just like every other thing men have worshipped.

If you still believe in god and the devil and the tooth fairy and Santa then you are clearly deranged. Grow up and see that wrestling isn’t real and that reality TV is all rigged as well while you’re at it.

Think of that one all by yourself? Genius.

I'm really not all that bothered whether you care of not, to be honest. Not one of those new generation Chrissos that wants to save everyone's soul, don't worry. Besides, you don't seem very open to the idea at all.

Ultimately, if there was evidence for it, everyone would believe wouldn't they? So no, I've got no evidence for you. Maybe, just maybe, not absolutely everything in life has evidence.

I'd be interested to hear your evidence for God being a construct, though.

Norse gods, Greek, gods Zeus. God of the Sky
Hera. Goddess of Marriage, Mothers and Families
Poseidon. God of the Sea
Demeter. Goddess of Agriculture
Ares. God of War
Athena. ...
Apollo. ...
Artemis.

there are many more examples of Gods being a construct

Ironically whomever you believe/ or not to be your god he/ she may be the last one you ask for when you heave your last breath.
Also it's a pretty strong construct if millions have and are dying for religion.

No irony just human nature.

If you listen to what doctors, care workers, nurses- people who are with you while you gasp your last breath, you'll find that most reject their religion.

We come from a Judeo-Christian tradition and I feel that and I'm not ashamed of it. In fact I fully recognise that it was the wiggle room for debate within those religions that allowed atheistic thinking to become widespread.....not forgetting the many people who were murdered for being heretics.

When criticising beliefs in personal gods it's easy to offend believers. This isn't always meant. I often think I shouldn't do it but then I remember that they are going to raise their children with this myth.

So essentially it's having a light go at mostly good people who are believing and pushing a myth.

So I get a bit conflicted by it.....If you genuinely follow the tenets of Christianity you are probably ethically better than most people.

So it's a balance between debating the reasonableness of personal god religions and not outright insulting people.

I'm not always great at balance.

The evidence is in the fact that throughout history, humans have beleived in all sorts of tosh. They still beleive in all sorts of different tosh.

Saying that you can't prove God doesn't exist is not a reasonable argument for his existence. There are many things that you can't prove or disprove with any certainty.

More importantly. Why does it matter? You won't get into the afterlife by being a good God worshipper, Think about it. It is an absurd notion on so many levels.
By your reckoning. God made us, so any bad thing we do are his fault. Right?
I have wasted enough time on this nonsense.

Whats the point of believing in a god if he exists anyway? Shouldn't he have bigger fish to fry?
