No a this is recent, a few years ago it would have been about the polish, the irish or carribians depending on how far back you go... People are concerned because we dont seem to discuss anything else anymore, the press dont discuss any else anymore, the government dont.seem to discuss anything else anymore, yet politions appear every week will say 'we need to have a serious conversation about the issue' when they are not discussing anything else. Even on this site, how often does someone bring this up? How many forums have we wasted on this conversation? And what have we achieved? If this one doesnt convert every fan into an anti-islamic right winger, a new one will start next week... and its going to result in the same conversations all over again. Everyone now thinks they are politicaly switched on until they realise they only have one topic to discuss. Find something else to talk about (and no cheating by bringing up this subject when discussing brexit) When some of the Irish were trying to blow us up, it was about the Irish. Now Islamists are trying to kill us and spread their religion, it's about Islam. It was never about the Polish.

So which one really bothers you? The fact that "Islamists are trying to kill us"? or "Islamists are spreading their religion"? Both are wrong on many levels. I don't think anyone in here brought up the spread of religion on here until you did!

I don't think anyone in here brought up the spread of religion on here until you did! Generally yes. See what has happened to Turkey? A secular state does not stand long in a religious country. We should most definitely be most worried about the Islamic religion because its most popular interpretations are also highly political and not secular. Christianity has, 'render unto Caesar what is Caesar's'. Which has allowed for the formation of secular states far more easily than in any Islamic country.

You seem to be the one throwing “far” in at every opportunity. And you only ever seem to do it as a prefix to ‘left’. Funny that.

Yes. Compare the birth rate of the indigenous population with that of that of, shall we say, more recent arrivals and then extrapolate forward by, maybe, fifty years. Doesn't look too good, especially if you're gay, a woman or DanH. Edited by Cucking Funt (11 Jun 2018 2.39pm)

We can define the far left's beliefs and the far right's beliefs if you like. Let's see who is more accurate shall we. Ok, like I said, define what are far right beliefs for me. I'm interested to see how they differ from just the right.

Edited by Cucking Funt (11 Jun 2018 2.39pm) Can you think of a single example of a law or any form of legislation that we have brought in due to any religious pressure? Or anything that will make things more difficult for women or gays? Any? A single one?

A single one? That section of the Public Order Act that saw a guy imprisoned for putting bacon on the doors of a mosque should give you an indication of which way the wind's blowing already. However, it'd be helpful if you actually read (and understood) my post. I'm talking about the future, if current comparative birth rates continue as they are. That spells a muslim majority at some point. And if you could show me a country that has a muslim majority where women and gays aren't second class citizens, I'd be delighted to be enlightened by you. What we are seeing is incipient cultural displacement, although I'm sure you'll deny it until you're blue in the face. Because when you do finally realise it, it'll be too late.

A single one? Yeah the expansion of the 'hate' speech laws. It's akin to a modern form of heresy. Paul Weston was arrested a few years back for reading from a Winston Churchill book at a town square that referenced Muslims.....This would have never happened before.
