WHy the split? They made allusions to their being 'problems' with Hol site and changes that have gone on, but didnt really detail it. I dont keep up to date with the gossip on sites like this, is this a flounce?

One of their presenters was booted off this forum for his continued trolling and general PITA behaviour but I doubt whether that is sufficient to stop broadcasting. As I have mentioned before I listened to just the one podcast a few years ago and was put off by one of the presenters inability to string three words together without profanity in the middle and I've never listened since.

As already mentioned I didn't listen to the podcast so have no idea what was actually said but having a look at the thread on the BBS there are some pretty daft theories being chucked about including" Now hol.net is a bastion of all things right wing is this an ideological rebrand, perhaps?" There have been a few complaints on the BBS (mainly from people excommunicated from here) about the right wing bias" here but the truth is that the News / Politics forum contains probably less than 2% of the total threads and I'd guess that the vast majority of HOL members never go there at all. There is probably just half a dozen politics threads active in the last week with the same dozen forum members going at it hammer and tongs but a handful of forum members constantly arguing about politics in the politics forum hardly counts as the HOL identity as the remaining 98% of forum members are here to discuss football and only football

In spite of my involvement politically, I joined HOL to debate football with fellow supporters and generally give the Politics Forum a rather wide berth because 1. I spend enough time on Politics outside of HOL and 2. There is always the chance they would involve into Willo threads and we have all had enough of all that tedious codswallop.I have to admit that generally I don't even take a glance at this forum to see the topics under discussion.

So why the flounce? i'm still a bit confused. They fell out with the owners. Must say i found it all a bit passive aggressive the way the presenter said 'things that have been going on on that site for a while' and then not saying what the issue was. All seems a bit amateur dramatics really. Either say why you've changed, or just announce, 'new season new name' without all the drama.

I tried it several times, giving it many goes because I liked the fact that I 'knew' the presenters from talking on here. Just wasn't anywhere near as good as the FYP one, and now they've all left the site, absolutely no reason for me to try again

I heard a podcast of a CPFC Fans Radio show on Love Sport, the new radio station in London, usually on a Thursday live. Had people from HOL.
