Any team who has the majority of their players at the World Cup has to be the obvious answer? City, United, Liverpool, Spurs would be great. Spurs away would be their new ground which pretty much wipes out home advantage as they won't have played much at it. I read the other week that the fixture organisers prevent the top 6 playing each other on the first or last day for some reason, in which case we've got a pretty high chance of getting one of them. A promoted club is daft. You want them once they've played 10 games, started picking up injuries and lost that winning momentum. Rumour is Spurs will start off with 2 to 4 away games as their new ground is unlikely to be ready in time. I imagine there is less chance of there being a "narrative" to a big 6 class at the very start or end of a season so less appealing for TV. Personally Fulham away when the weather is nice would be ideal, so early or late season (assuming they go up). Other than that Man City or Man Utd away for me. Get it over and done with.

most season we play the same teams around the same times cant see that changing to much TV and police dictate who and when each fixture is played, so would expect one of the promoted team first up or liverpool

Villa (if promoted) at home and a return of the Jedi would be my pick.

I would like our first game away - somewhere up north, as I am on holiday. A pre season friendly in Seville would be perfect late July

I think the Police will have had a good preseason and a lot of energy so some of us might want to visit the Amex later in the season from about March onwards.
So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet. |
