I would not be surprised to see Joe Hart at Palace. Was first choice under Roy and he needs to kick start his career. If he could reclaim his form it would be a great signing. I don't think West Ham want him so would be a natural fit for us.

Just not serving in the bar. He'd spill my beer

The logic in the last sentence is completely bewildering

Whether it is one of our existing "strikers" or a new arrival, someone who can head the ball into the opposition's net would be nice

Zaha's was just the 4th in the league this year compared with 15 last season

My bad, what I meant was we are one of the Premier league clubs with goalkeeping issues so Joe Hart would see us as a natural fit. It sounds like I am wanting to sign him I am not just speculating.

I dont know about 4 signings but would love that Southampton midfielder they got from Juve I think it was? Lemina or something? he was so impressive at selhurst earlier in the season.

Lemina could end up costing Southampton some £18 Mill if the add-ons kick in.

He hasn't featured since the end of March so might be injured. He used to be a winger when younger but of course plays more centrally now.Can certainly break up play and pick a pass.

I like Shaqiri, but he won't give you the workload that Andros does. Now, if we could get 10 goals out of Shaquiri, then to me that would make up a lot of that lack of defensive cover.

As I mentioned in a previous post he is a scorer of good goals rather than a good goalscorer.

His goalscoring record at Stoke :

2017/18 7 goals to-date
2016/17 5 goals
2015/16 4 goals.

People keep mentioning Charlie Austin. If he could stay fit then I would love him but with his history he would be a liability. His sick record makes Darren Anderton seem like an athlete. The Darren Anderton reference is for the older readers, his nickname was "sick note".

Rodriguez/Ings - With Sorloth and Benteke (if he stays) feel we need a a smaller striker to add another dimension.

Aamadou - Already the captain of Lille at a young age, could be a good replacement for Cabaye who is out of contract.

RLC

Tadic/Redmond - technically gifted players, both can play behind the striker or out wide.

To be honest there's a few Southampton players i'd like.

They could end up surviving and us being relegated.

Might be wise to wait to see what Division we will be playing before suggesting players for next season.

Yes I have been very positive about how Hodgson has done giving us a chance of survival after we had 0 points after 7 games and hadn't scored a goal.

All I am doing is being circumspect about our chances. The 'Mood Music' appears to be that after the Brighton win we are all but safe, but there could be lots of twists and turns until the end of the season with perhaps a 'sting in the tail' or two along the way.I would temper optimism with a degree of caution.
