I can't believe the amount of people coming on here with amounts like £75m etc..as if that would be 'good business'!

No way will we replace Wilf with anyone as good, more likely a load of old dross.

Remember the garbage Spurs bought when they sold Bale?........ditto Palace.

We've sold Murray and suffered terribly at centre-forward, yet at the time idiots were on here salivating at the £4m from Bournemouth.

We've done £30m on Benteke and he's been a shocker. Expect more of the same if we have money to spend.

Echo TMJ's post in its entirety.

Someone would not be paying 75M for Wilf if there are equally good players to be had for 20M.

Wearing tin hat:-

Wilf is worth 100 million to us but I dont think we need to worry about losing him for at least another season if we stay up. Wilf's value to us is being an outlet, out of defence, a skill not so highly prized by top teams that dont defend much. His final ball and his decision making, whilst getting better all the time, are still not good enough for top teams or the possession based game most of the top european teams employ. This might be part of why he was not successful at Manchester United.

Simple statement from the board to the effect that Wilf has several years of his current contract to run, and that he is not for sale, should put this nonsense to bed. Oh, and he's too good for you

Levy “declares interest” like it’s a game of f***ing football manager.

Spurs usual antics again, feed the press and they will take it to the next level. With Kane being linked to top European clubs they in turn show interest in other talent.

As it stands Wilf is better than what Spurs currently have in their first team, 40 million buys one of Wilfs legs at the moment...

We still owe Levy big time for stitching us up with Zeki Fryers, something was very wrong with that transfer we should slam the phone down on that man. Wilf is still young time is on his side and if / when Wilf goes it will be to a big club not Spurs.

Mr Levy seems to understand the principle of players gaining value while playing for a club. The BBC Football Gossip has this gem from the Dutch media. Why would someone they seem to want be worth less than one of their no longer wanted players?

Tottenham are resigned to losing Belgian defender Toby Alderweireld, 29, this summer but will demand 50m euros (£44m). (HLN - in Dutch)

SPs caution when buying is supported by that story. COYP

Mr Levy being properly stitched would be Harry Kane graduating to Red and Blue (at £30M) and Wilf staying where he is comfortable (at CPFC).

We should not dignify this non news story by starting a thread or replying to one..........oh damn

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Are you suggesting that we bought him at gunpoint and not of our own free will?

It's about as daft as saying that we owe Everton big time for stitching them up with a winger that was out for a season with an ACL injury
