Was thinking the same about TFM and also thought about having TFM, Kelly and Tomkins as a 3 with PVA and AWB as wing-backs. Hmmm. 3 at the back was a disaster earlier in the season. I don’t think we will be in a hurry to go back down that route. As for AWB I thought he was excellent last night building on a solid debut . He certainly doesn’t look out of place.

The one thing I would say, is that at present is he very much a right back (and looking a very good one at that), but he is not a wing back. His defending is excellent, however he doesn't seem to that same excellence in going forward......yet. If he does develop that in his game, what a player he could be.

Well he didn't look too bad at getting forward and putting in crosses to me, considering that we had 28% of the possession. In the second half we were far too deep.

First Spurs and second United. I'm pretty sure any sane 20 year old playing right back would be concentrating on his defensive duties first and foremost... Going forward he's meant to be decent... he's played as both as a winger and a wing back for under 23's. In fact I think he may (someone correct me if I'm wrong please) played more in those positions than in an out and out right back role. Very talented kid.

I'd be interested to see him play as a winger for us with Ward as RB and Zaha in the center with Sørloth....

Wan-Bissaka looks quite like Fosu-Mensah to me with the benefit that he doesn't have to go back to U****d at the end of the season. Hasn't got the experience yet to have top positional sense but his pace and energy more than compensate. Made some excellent tackles last night too. Zaha in the middle has always seemed wasted to me. The wider he can get the more damage he does. Zaha ahead of Wan-Bissaka overlapping would be interesting.

True agreed however I am very interested in seeing how defences would deal with Sørloths strength at holding a player off and Wilfs trickery along side one another... either drawing defenders and playing the other in could be deverstating.

Was very good. I think the shirts his now, it's ward's to get back. It'd be that way with any other player e.g. a new signing, so I expect him to feature against Chelsea.

Wan-Bissaka - there's only Wan-Bissaka. (Sorry if this has been posted elsewhere).

Rather keep Townsend doing that and AWB as solid defender Originally posted by Goldfiinger

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance. |
