Maybe he doesn’t rate our chances of staying up and doesn’t want to risk or is scared of getting a worse injury that would hamper a move to another PL club in the summer. He’s presumably given up any hope he might have had of being picked for the French World Cup team.

We're odds against to go down. I don't want this to be true and I'd like to see pictures of him at the game tomorrow. That'll go a long way to showing his commitment.

IF this is true then I'm sorry but not good enough. Looks like this is the 2nd time in 2 seasons the bin dippers have done us out of £30m!! So in reserve that leaves Jach or 20 year old Ollie O'Dwyer who despite being 6'7" has never played a minute of league football as our centre back cover.
Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!! |

I'd reserve judgement. I'd rather he missed this week and next if need be and was 100% for the remaining games.

Maybe he knows the importance of being fit for the big games (i.e. the games we can win). Maybe he is still mentally scarred after the Palace v Tottenham match last year. Maybe he is a little baby like you all seem to be saying. Who knows.

You’ve got to love Roy, just says what he wants, doesn’t worry about upsetting anyone and keeping it behind close doors. No way Sakho would miss a game because his Mrs has had a baby. He would only be out the house for 4 hours.

I don't buy the argument that it's better he misses the Spurs game to ensure he's fit for the so called '' winnable '' games. There's a pretty strong inference from Roy that he considers Sakho to be fit and therefore available but the player is not up for it. Looks like The Soldier just became a Conscientious Objector

I'd rather he was playing with 100% confidence than just filling a gap and protecting an injury. It's not like the Spurs game is crucial at this stage but others may well be more so later in the season.

It was a stupid ambigious comment from Roy. If he is frustrated and in doubt about Sakho's commitment he certainly should sort that internally and it is in no way beneficial to bring this out. Yet I am suprised at the amount of people willing to judge from the sidelines and condemn MS. When played has always given his all and has been immense. Now because of a dodgy comment from the manager he all of a sudden is parasite. I don't get it, one would think most people would feel anyone has the right to sense and judge his own body.

When he is fit he will play. Unless someone has the inside track to him and knows that he is deliberately faking injury please do not post unsubstantiated sensationalist rubbish. Do you not think it’s a little odd that Roy makes a point of saying that the player says he is not fit to play ?

NO I do not think it odd. Roy would like him to play but the player who knows how fit he is has said he is not yet fully fit. What is wrong with Roy telling us that?
