I don't really understand this point - I was certainly ignorant to the fact I'm in the top 1% because I earn over £30k, so what?

Do you think that because someone earns £30k a year, they're a hypocrite to march against wealth inequality?

Yes - specifically if that person marched or railed against the “1%”.

Also, what is it that those who are marching actually want to do to reduce inequality. Usually it comes down to “taxing someone else”. So, they support reducing inequality but not so far as they are willing to pay for it.

I’m happy to pay more to reduce inequality and have never felt the need to go on a march.

Or from the average lefty's perspective, everyone earning less than them is a saintly victim of the sytem, and anyone earning more is evil.

Never mind the fact that they themselves are in the top 25% but bang about about the 1, or that inequality globally is declining thanks to China and every other country which has departed from Communism.

Jeremy Corbyn demonises the 1% ('For the many, not the few'). He is in the 1% himself so that means we can hate him too.

Studies show that income inequality is increasing BUT the poor are getting 'richer' because of this.
