When all CB's available Sakho & Tomkins are clearly the best combination with one naturally left side & the other right, but with both's injury records it showed yesterday how important Kelly is to us. Fosu-mensa for all of his potential was all over the place yesterday. Kelly has had his critics on here but recently since he has been playing in his right position of centre back has been doing a good job. Don't forget before his injury at Liverpool he got his one England cap as a central defender.

Agree. Funny how Zaha's not getting the same stick and he's missed a fair few games this season. Sakho is needed in defence as much as Zaha is need in attack. A lot of petty comments from a bunch of spilt kids on here wanting their toys (players) to play!! Zaha has played plenty of games though, Sakho hasnt!

ITK people in he BBS saying that it wasn’t an injury but something personal. Meaning that he should be fine for the next game. If true of course.

Hodgson on Sakho: "He has had an MRI scan and there is no damage and we expect him to be back in training on Wednesday when we train again.” “Martin Kelly I am sure will be ok, and Mamadou Sakho should be ok, Jeffrey Schlupp may be a bit longer, but he won’t be too far off."

If it's anything other than really bad (like a family situation) then i'd say he's got to get his head down and lead by example, and if it IS bad, then obviously that could really effect him for the course of the season.

Nothing I or anyone else could do would result in you seeing the positive side of anything. It is less likely a family issue would be as long term as an ACL injury is all I will say.

This was a lovely seeded strawberry from some poncy farmers market by the looks of it. Lovely, not too sweet, unlike most branded stuff. Lovely with a bit of toast and a fresh brew, i must say.
